Centre for Environmental Policy

The Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP) aims to have a global impact on energy and environmental security policy, management of environmental quality, and sustainable transitions in environmental governance, through collaborative research and engagement supporting efforts on environment, energy and health throughout the College.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Research Support Assistant to provide efficient and effective project and administrative support to Professor Nick Voulvoulis at the South Kensington Campus. The role is busy and varied, encompassing areas related to diary management and research administration, as well as project work associated with report writing, proof-reading and preparing presentations. You will provide administrative support to Professor Voulvoulis and researchers in his group to ensure that activities run smoothly and professionally.

You must have relevant academic/vocational qualifications(or equivalent) plus some work experience in a relevant role. A degree in an environmental related discipline is desirable. You will need to demonstrate excellent administrative skills, initiative and the ability to work under pressure. Accuracy, attention to detail and organisation skills are essential. You will be used to working with a high degree of autonomy, prioritising and managing your own workload. You must be IT literate and also have excellent communication skills.

This post requires experience of working to a routine but you will need to react to new circumstances and interact with staff and students with varying needs. Work would be specified by Dr Voulvoulis or an agreed delegate, and carried out on your own but with supervision available as required. You should have a willingness to learn tasks relevant to routine College administration.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position for up to 6 months. Normal working hours for tis role would be 10am to 6pm.
