The City College in London is seeking to appoint an outstanding Programme Leader to lead and manage the Pearson BTEC HND Level 4/5 Business, Hospitality and Travel and Tourism programmes. Applicants must be suitably qualified and have experience of managing one or preferably more of these programmes within an HE environment.
All applicants must be educated to at least degree level. A teaching qualification is preferred, as is familiarity in working with students whose first language may not be English. Familiarity with QAA and the UK Quality Code is an advantage.
Start date: September 2017 or sooner, subject to agreement.
The person appointed must be proficient in a range of activities at Level 4/5 including, for example, leading a team, programme planning, teaching and learning, marking and feedback, verification and raising achievement. Applicants must also be innovative, flexible, organised and possess a ‘can do’ attitude. Attention to detail, meeting deadlines and the ability to work under pressure are prerequisite, as is having an excellent command of English and excellent communication skills. Permission to work in the UK is essential.
