An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for an individual with a passion for digital communications. The Research and Impact Support Team is responsible for providing a high level support for academic research and impact activity, including PGR, by identifying, and responding to, opportunities to achieve objectives supporting the institutional Research and Impact 2026 Strategy.
The Faculty supports a wide range of research expertise, including through the newly constituted Centre for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences and the Heseltine Institute for Public Policy and Practice. Researchers collaborate on cross cutting themes including Heritage, Digital, Security and Conflict, Slavery and Unfree Labour, Cities, Children and Childhood and Medical Humanities. You will be responsible for working with Faculty Research Theme Leads to develop and deliver their Research and Impact communications and marketing strategies.
You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience), experience of creating and publishing digital content for a variety of audiences and creating and managing digital marketing tools. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging style. The ability to understand academic outputs and summarise key issues, without losing meaning or impact is essential.
