Starting salary for Senior Lecturer (Academic) from £39,324 - £46,924 per annum with further progression opportunities to £51,260
Starting salary for Lecturer (Academic) from £32,958 - £38,183 per annum with further progression opportunities to £41,709

The Department of Creative Technology, within the Faculty of Science and Technology, is seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Academic) in the area of games design and/or development. The appointment will be made at the appropriate grade mentioned above based on past experience and track record.
You will be an experienced academic with outputs in the key strategic areas of the BU 2018 Vision, which, at its core, involves the Fusion of education, research and professional practice.
You will have a promising and developing research profile showing potential for contribution towards the next REF exercise, ideally some evidence of attempted/successful national and international research grant awards and also enterprise funding, evidence of leadership experience in higher education, some experience in supervising undergraduate/postgraduate/doctorate students, evidence of collaboration and engagement with the national/international games industry and, finally, past experience/involvement in the design and delivery of taught HE courses.
Applications with expertise in one (or more) of the following areas; mobile games development, 3D modelling and animation for games, game design, artificial intelligence in games, graphics programming and UX/HCI for games are particularly welcome.
