Aberystwyth University, under the leadership of the new Vice Chancellor, Professor Elizabeth Treasure, is embarking on a programme of change to ensure its future as a middle sized research led university with a reputation of friendliness, creativity and curiosity in an outstandingly beautiful location.
The immediate task is to finalise the university’s new Strategic Plan for Council’s approval by December 2017 and to drive forward its implementation.
The successful applicant will be a member of the university’s executive team and will work directly to the Vice-Chancellor. They will be responsible for developing a small team to enable the rapid implementation of the specific changes required by the new University Strategic Plan, including improved business change working alongside the existing teams led by executive team members who will concentrate on the improvement and enhancement of core business activities (‘Business as Usual’) as included in the University Strategic Plan.
This is a fixed term position for (two years) and is suitable for someone wishing to develop their career in a senior role.
