Criminology at the University of Hull has a well-established national and international teaching and research reputation. Located within the newly formed School of Education and Social Sciences a team of ten criminologists manage a suite of undergraduate criminology degrees in both Hull and Hong Kong and a new applied MA in Criminal Justice and Crime Control begins in September 2017. The Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice provides a strong forum for bringing together criminological research across the University and two new research clusters in Victimisation, Harm and Resilience and Supervision, Surveillance and Subjectivity provide the basis for interdisciplinary collaboration.
The successful applicant must have completed a PhD in criminology (or a close equivalent) and have an emerging track record of high quality publications and the ability to teach and assess at the undergraduate level. We welcome applications from anyone with a teaching or research expertise in an established area of criminology but are particularly interested in the areas of: transnational and international crime, terrorism and radicalisation, human rights violation and victimisation; quantitative research methods; youth crime and youth justice; corporate and computer crime.
