The University of Sussex is looking to recruit a Communications Officer to support the Campaigns and Communications Teams within the University’s Communications and External Affairs Division.

The Communications Officer will report into the Head of Campaigns and work alongside the wider communications team on a diverse range of projects and events. We’re looking for an all-rounder who is comfortable with sourcing and writing stories, managing events and finding creative solutions to any challenges posed.

Content production and distribution is an important part of this role and the post-holder will need experience of developing and creating digital content for a variety of different audiences and platforms.

The post-holder will be able to demonstrate experience of project co-ordination and good attention to detail. Working with colleagues across the University, and external stakeholders and suppliers, the post-holder will need to have strong team working skills and a flexible approach.

Supporting and helping to deliver a range of exciting projects, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and creative communications professional looking for a rewarding next step in their career. 

Some out of office and weekend working may be necessary.
