The Energy and Environment Institute, established in late 2016, has a vision to become an internationally leading centre for research into the interfaces between energy and environmental resilience; a centre that focuses on global sustainability challenges and delivers research that makes a difference. The Institute has three primary goals: to research and discover; to innovate and deliver impact; and to act as a regional anchor.
The post holder will be responsible for providing effective high quality executive support to the Director of the Energy and Environment Institute. He/she will play a key role in co-ordinating the Institute’s business, developing its activities, managing projects, and co-ordinating HR and finance functions. He/she will proactively support the delivery of the University’s ambition to increase the quality and volume of its research and to secure the funding to do so.
