Detail information about job Professor (80784-087). Terms and conditions vacancy

Applications are invited for a Professor in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies.

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) was established in 2012 to foster innovative and experimental forms of knowledge production through a sustained focus on methodology. CIM is dedicated to expanding the role of interdisciplinary methods through new lines of inquiry that cut across disciplinary boundaries, both intellectually and institutionally. We are looking for someone to play a key role in the next phase of the development of CIM - possibly as Director - and to contribute to establishing Warwick as a site of methodological excellence across disciplines.

You will be able to demonstrate leadership in relation to research and teaching. Most importantly, you will have the breadth of understanding to foster a culture that is supportive of critical and creative interdisciplinary research of a variety of kinds and engage with colleagues from diverse interdisciplinary backgrounds.

In your own work, you will have direct experience of interdisciplinary research and a critical, innovative approach to methodology, whatever your substantive domain of expertise. You will have a reflexive approach to the practice of research and be able to work creatively to generate bespoke methods suited to new research challenges. You will contribute to the research life of the Centre, have a track record of attracting funding and conducting high quality research in a relevant area and have publications commensurate with submission for REF 2020.

The Centre attracts and admits the best and brightest students from across a variety of disciplines to its suite of interdisciplinary graduate courses, and you will also need to have a genuine interest and passion for developing interdisciplinary research-led teaching.

The Centre is strongly committed to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.

For informal inquiries or if you have any questions about this post, please contact: Professor Celia Lury, Director, Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies: [email protected]
