Supervisors: Professors Ian Givens and Julie Lovegrove
Project Overview: Evidence from long-term prospective studies indicates that high consumption of some dairy products is associated with a reduced risk of stroke and type 2 diabetes. Whilst studies indicate possible mechanism for these effects, the body of detailed evidence is small. This project aims to provide new evidence for the effects.
Eligibility:
- Applicants should hold or expect to gain a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor Degree or equivalent in nutrition or a related subject.
- Due to restrictions on the funding this studentship is open to UK/EU students.
Funding Details:
- Starts January 2018.
- Three year award.
- Tuition fees plus stipend.
