Professional Services Level 4 (£45,400 - £54,880)

Do you have extensive experience in programming creative public engagement opportunities for diverse audiences? Do you thrive under the pressure of managing large-scale events? Are you a positive and supportive team leader?

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to drive a step-change in our public engagement programme, to increase the diversity, quality and quantity of the opportunities we provide for our staff, students and a range of public participants.

This is an exciting post in the growing Academic Partnerships Team, playing a key role to further strengthen and embed societal engagement across Imperial College London. Societal engagement is a core part of Imperial’s mission ‘to achieve enduring excellence in research and education in science, engineering, medicine and business for the benefit of society.’ This is reflected in our 2015-20 Strategy, which commits the College ‘to sharing the wonder and importance of what we do’ with schools, patients, local communities and the wider public through two-way learning and collaboration.

We are looking for a talented practitioner and strategic thinker, who can ensure a high-quality visitor experience, whilst ensuring that crucial health and safety standards and event operations all result in a high standard of customer service for our staff and student contributors, volunteers, public participants and our external partners.  The role will have Project Management responsibility for delivering major events, such as the Imperial Festival with over 15, 000 visitors across three days, and for creating bespoke participatory experiences that connect our researchers with diverse audiences.

Imperial Managers lead by example.
