A Senior Lecturer is required to develop and lead a new apprenticeship programmes in the department. Initially the post will develop a new programme for the higher education academic professional.
The new Higher Education Level 7 Apprenticeship in Academic Professional Apprenticeship standards are currently in development. In readiness for their publication the School of Education is seeking to employ a new member of staff who will be responsible for the development and leadership of a new academic qualification which will enable participants to work towards the new Higher Education Academic Professional apprenticeship standards. In order to develop a coherent programme the successful candidate will also establish and maintain professional partnerships with a range of university’s departments including the Department for Curriculum and Quality Enhancement (DCQE). In addition the successful candidate will liaise with external bodies such as the Higher Education Academy and Institute for Apprenticeships, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake research and knowledge transfer activities that support the School’s professional and vocational courses.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be student-centred, and have relevant teaching experience, knowledge and understanding of the further education and training sector and knowledge of online/blended learning.
