We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised Research and Communications Administrator to join our administrative team, providing a full range of research administration and communications support to this busy, dynamic and growing department.
This role will be an opportunity for someone with excellent administrative and organisational skills to develop their experience in an interesting, supportive and friendly environment. You will be responsible for supporting and facilitating a range of activities including preparations for the next Research Excellence Framework exercise, organising the department’s public seminars and research newsletters and providing administrative support to the Director of Research. You will support the implementation of the department’s communications strategy and be the first point of contact for a range of external stakeholders including alumni of the department. You will manage the administration of the department’s website and other communications tools such as social media. You will also draft, edit and proofread publicity and communications materials for the department.
You will have excellent organisational, administrative and writing skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. You will be able to manage your workload to meet deadlines and to work accurately and independently in a flexible manner. You will have proven web-based technologies and database skills and will be educated to A- level or equivalent. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a higher education or research environment.
The post is based at the Department of Education, Norham Gardens, Oxford.
