The College is seeking to employ full-time Classroom Assistant/Learning Facilitators, to provide in-class support over a wide variety of subjects but in particular, candidates must be able to offer support to students in English and Mathematics and to provide general administrative support.

These posts may be suitable for graduates and those interested in a career in teaching in the post 16 sector.  

Successful applicants must have good communication, interpersonal and IT skills. The successful candidate will be qualified to at least GCSE A* - C level, or equivalent, in Maths & English.   

It is expected that the successful candidates will spend some time in the Learning Support Department which is a specially equipped suite. The Learning Support staff support students with learning difficulties or disabilities, students for whom English is not a first language, students with a physical or sensory disability and students with any medical condition which may affect their learning.  A drop-in service is operated from 9.00 am to 4.15 pm each day to provide help to any student who wants additional help with study skills, improving grades, spelling courses, getting organised, exam stress, a quiet study environment and many other problems.  

The post is term-time only and the hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 8.45 am – 4.15pm and 9.00 – 3.45pm on Friday (with 45 minutes for lunch) but may vary from time to time to meet the requirements of the job. The salary is from £13,379 – £14,764 per annum (77.58% of point 15 to 17P4), including Reigate College Allowance.
