Location: Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne. The post holder will be required to travel throughout the North East of England.Post Type: Fixed term for 5 years.

The Role
The North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) has recently launched a major construction framework to serve our members in Newcastle and the North East, and we are now looking for someone with established stakeholder management skills to provide technical input and guidance to our members. Working with member institutions, you will be responsible for establishing project plans and strategies, managing the procurement process, managing framework key performance indicators, and reporting back to the member institutions and the NEUPC.
As part of this role, you will also lead, deliver and manage new collaborative frameworks and provide technical advice and guidance to NEUPC colleagues and client institutions, across our Estates portfolio.
This is a client facing role which will build client confidence in our estates procurement capabilities. You will be based at Newcastle University, and will work closely with the NEUPC team (based in Leeds). What we are looking for
- A professional qualification in MCIPS, Quantity Surveying or related construction field or equivalent experience is essential
- Evidence of working within the construction industry in a procurement or cost management role
- Knowledge of completing and executing various forms of Building Contracts
- Experience of compiling tender and contract documentation on a range of procurement routes
- Understanding of Public Procurement Regulations 2015
- Experience of Project Management
