Detail information about job Grants Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy

Are you an organised individual looking to develop your grant management skills at the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research?

We are looking for a driven and self-starting individual to...

  • Manage the application and award process to agreed deadlines and standards.
  • Manage the peer review process and facilitate funding committee meetings.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners.

We’re game changers. Here at Cancer Research UK, we aim to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing cancer. We are smart, brave and ambitious individuals united by our relentless pursuit of beating cancer. Now we need a Grants Officer to support the applications and awards of grants within Research and Innovation (R&I). This means that you’ll be an effective communicator, with the ability to manage multiple projects, and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving.

You can help us beat cancer through...

  • Your experience of grant management, project management or research administration.
  • Your ability to organise, prioritise and work to deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Your excellent communication skills and your ability to listen and influence.
  • Your experience of using and maintaining information on databases.
  • Your excellent attention to detail.
  • Your flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.

We can’t achieve our ambitious five year research strategy without an efficient grant funding process, so we need to ensure we fully support our applications and awards process and make it as smooth as possible for our researchers and our committee members.

If you can do all this and more, you’ll enjoy a great career as we work hard to beat cancer – sooner.

Closing Date: 10th September.

We will be shortlisting on an ongoing basis so don't hesitate in submitting your application.

Interviews TBC.

From 2019 we will be relocating from our current offices in Angel to a new office space in Stratford, close to the Olympic Park.
