The University of Westminster is a leading provider of photographic and film courses with a history dating back to 1853. The Westminster School of Media Arts and Design is located at Northwick Park, Harrow, and embraces state of the art media facilities. There is a thriving community of student, academics, researchers, technical and professionals in the School. Programmes range from short courses, undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral study, in the arts, sciences and professions of photography and film.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician to join our dedicated team of professional support staff. You will have responsibility for the operation and management of the Printing which supports all of the courses across the campus.

You will work as a member of the Printing team of technicians in the academic delivery of Westminster School of Media, Art and Design’s activities (teaching, laboratories, research, CPD and knowledge exchange activities), through the provision of a high quality and customer-focused technical service to staff, students and external clients/users. You will have a good understanding of operating various large format printers. You will also monitor consumables, and produce usage statistics on the monthly status of the Printer facility and advise the Head Technician on levels of usage. You may also be required to support and assist other technicians within the facility.

Ideally you will be educated to HNC/undergraduate degree level. Considerable relevant previous experience is essential. This may have been in higher education and/or in a technically orientated industrial or commercial environment.
