This busy and dynamic section works to ensure students are connected to the content they need to complete their studies and includes e/book acquisition, digitisation services (including the delivery of alternative formats for disabled students) and document delivery.

In addition, you will contribute to the development of service wide strategies and policies for improving access to information, as well as managing, monitoring and reviewing local practices and processes to deliver customer satisfaction and value for money.

Key to success in this role will be your ability:

  • To build on your existing specialist knowledge and expertise to embrace developments in digital publishing and open access, in order to maximise access to information for students and staff at the university
  • To establish good working relationships and collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • To lead and motivate a team of library staff as we adopt new ways of working as part of the continual improvement of our services.
  • To be self-motivated, reliably delivering work to agreed timeframes

This is a temporary post until 31st May 2020, or the earlier return of the post holder, to cover the Secondment of the substantive post holder to another role.

Other benefits, in addition to salary:

  • a generous holiday allowance of 27 days
  • up to 12.5 bank holiday/closure days per year in addition;
  • flexible working;
  • excellent defined benefit pension schemes;
