Detail information about job Project Coordinator. Terms and conditions vacancy

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) is looking to recruit a Project Coordinator to work as part of the PONToon (Partnership Opportunities using New Technologies to foster sOcial and ecOnomic inclusioN) project team.  The post is fixed term until the 31st October 2020.

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, University of Portsmouth is a dynamic working environment, with a wide range of teaching, research and innovation activities across many subject areas.

The PONToon project is an EU Interreg 5A funded project. The University of Portsmouth is lead partner in this three and a half year project with total budget of €5.8 million. This partnership has a diverse mix of 11 UK and French partners, including institutes of higher education, local public authority, education and training centres, sectoral agencies, NGOs and business incubation units that can serve a multifaceted user group and engage a wide range of stakeholders to create a partnership greater than the sum of it’s individual parts.

PONToon will employ digital technologies in order to provide equal access to training and employment services and respond to the digital skills shortage that exist across all sectors, creating multi-pronged benefits for both the end user and service providers, and employs an innovative co-creation methodology. The project will target socially excluded women who are disadvantaged by their gender, have challenges such as lone parenthood, mental/physical health issues and restricted mobility and are often combined with a lack of key soft skills that could benefit from digital upskilling.

This position requires a high degree of initiative and the post holder will be expected to possess exceptional communication skills, preferably able to speak both French and English, the role will require specialist knowledge of Interreg procedures, financial policies and administrative tasks and the candidate will be expected to learn knowledge of the University’s academic and financial policies and procedures relating to EU funding sources.

Informal enquiries regarding the role may be made to Professor Joan Farrer, Associate Dean Enterprise and Innovation, [email protected].
