The Student Affairs and Case Work department are seeking to recruit an Equality and Diversity Manager to lead on implementing and continuously improving the University’s Equality and Diversity Strategy in relation to students, and to embed equality and diversity into all aspects of the student lifecycle and promote an inclusive environment.
This is a wide-ranging role, and the post holder will be expected to act as the University subject matter expert on equality and diversity, providing high level specialist inclusion and diversity advice to senior managers, academic and professional staff on complex equality and diversity matters. This will include developing policies and procedures, delivering training and undertaking research and analysis. You will be at the forefront of the University’s approach to embedding an inclusive environment in its approach to students.
The successful candidate should have a degree or equivalent professional experience and preferably hold a legal qualification or an equality and diversity qualification. You should possess a great attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook and the use of databases. Additionally, the ability to prioritise a varied workload while maintaining attention to detail and keeping tight deadlines is essential.
