Cobbauge seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead on the successful delivery of this project in collaboration with UK and EU partners.

Cobbauge1 is a unique project that has a number of carefully considered work-packages that need to be completed on time, within budget to allow the team to meet the goals laid out in the project documentation. This will give the project team the ability to bid for a 2nd phase offering continuity of work over a much longer period that this initial phase. The role of the project manager is central to this ambition and the overall success of the project.

You will be:

  • Leading as appropriate to ensure that projects are effectively planned, managed and successfully delivered, contributing to the overall success of the wider project, whilst ensuring compliance with ERDF legislation.
  • Pro-actively co-ordinating between and developing effective working relationships with, the academics, project partners and beneficiaries of the project.
  • Planning, prioritising, co-ordinating, contributing to and facilitating: meetings, visits, events, workshops and other initiatives to meet the evolving needs of the project.
  • Interfacing with customers, partners and stakeholders, identifying issues and providing effective solutions in a timely manner to ensure expectations are managed.
  • Carrying out appropriate communication and information sharing.
  • Working in close collaboration with the project leads and project administrators both internally and externally.

You will have:

  • Experience of working in a project management function on projects involving multiple partners, preferably EU funded.
  • Knowledge of managing architectural, engineering, technical or construction materials related investigations will be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and prioritisation skills and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • A relevant project management qualification would be beneficial.
  • A professional approach and be able work both as part of a team and under their own initiative.
  • The ability to translate plans into action and to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders is essential.
