The Supporting Evidence Based Interventions (SEBI) project aims to drive better strategic livestock decision making for low and middle income countries. This project has been funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundations and has received initial funding for 3 years.

We are currently seeking a Research Assistant. You will play a key role in providing research support to the SEBI team to enable the delivery of some of the main project objectives. This post will require a diligent and service oriented individual who is responsible for researching, collating and communicating scientific and technical information to the SEBI team and, where necessary, the wider SEBI community. The postholder will support the SEBI team by conducting literature searches, reviews and draft report writing. You will be based at the Easter Bush campus, Edinburgh but your work will be focused on livestock health and productivity in specific countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

You will be educated to degree level or above and have evidence of further education including post-graduate qualification certification/diploma preferably in one of the following areas; veterinary science, zoology, molecular biology, microbiology, epidemiology, immunology and/or relevant work experience. You will be experienced in literature reviews, have excellent report writing and numeracy skills, be methodical and detail orientated and have strong IT literacy and MS Office skills.
