As a Principal Commissioning Manager within Performance Improvement, you will play a key role in leading the team to develop robust performance analysis, which challenges services and commissions, whilst driving continuous improvement. This is the most senior dedicated performance role in the directorate.This team is the key performance and management information partner for all services and commissions across Children Schools and Families, and will work to embed a performance culture across the organisation. You will also be work closely with the new Analytics hub within Insight & Innovation.There are three core strands to this work: Performance Culture & People, Insight and System. You will be working with service managers, practitioners and the team to identify, define and monitor improvement activity that increases performance.As the senior manager for performance improvement, you will have the skills to build strong relationships amongst key stakeholders, which will be vital to the success of the team embedding a performance culture. You will be responsible for managing a small team with a wider management responsibility to a large teamYou will also be a joint lead on the development of linked datasets for performance analysis which contain near-live data from across all available sources and allow daily, weekly, and monthly judgements to be made about family circumstances, service involvement and progress.For more information please find a full job description and person specification.
