The salary will be paid at Grade 6 £32,958 - £37,075 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
This is full-time post – 100% full time equivalent [35hours/week]
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will assist with on-going projects as well as developing new projects as directed by Professor Oliver Howes. A particular focus of the Group at the moment is the role of synaptic loss in the pathophysiology of psychosis.
It is anticipated that the post holder will take a lead in some studies. The post may require some time to be spent at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus for specific projects. The post holder will also be expected to take an active part in the academic activities of the group, including contributing to journal club and seminar presentations, and where appropriate to present data at national and international meetings.
This post provides an excellent opportunity to develop and extend research skills, for someone with an interest in translational research into the neurobiology of schizophrenia and related psychoses. The post holder will also work closely with other research staff in the project and foster effective collaborative working relationships with collaborators.
The selection process will include competency based questions and panel interview.
