Permanent contract
The Marketing Division of the University of Leicester School of Business is an internationally-renowned leader in interdisciplinary marketing research. Our research is interdisciplinary, drawing from sociology, cultural studies, media studies, anthropology, gender studies, geographic area concentrations, politics, history, political economy, and philosophy to examine marketing and consumption phenomena. Our areas of expertise include critical marketing, relationship marketing, social marketing, sustainability marketing, place branding, non-profit marketing, marketing theory, and the sociology of consumption.
Among other qualities, you will have a sincere understanding of and share the School’s vision. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to teaching excellence. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to inspire both staff and students alike.
In addition to being engaged in innovative learning and teaching, you will have an established reputation for research, with a strong record of publications (appropriate to your level of experience) in peer reviewed journals of substantial standing. You will have excellent networking skills which you use to seek out opportunities for collaboration and citizenship, both internally and externally. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to generate external funding through research grants, contracts or other sources.
Finally, you will have a track record of engaging with a range of communities related to your research and teaching interests, including external organisations.
