The Hansard Society is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director for its prestigious international study abroad programme. The successful applicant will gain in-depth experience of all aspects of running a study abroad programme, and there is a lot of potential for growth and development of the role and responsibilities in the future.

The Assistant Director will support the Programme Director with regulatory compliance, marketing and recruitment, and institutional and study abroad relations. In order to understand and experience components of the programme from the ground up, the post holder will also be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager with the day-to-day operation of the programme including providing direct support to Scholars. 

Hansard Society Scholars is a specialist, multi-faceted programme that offers international students the opportunity to gain academic and practical knowledge of the British political system and current debates in UK public policy. The programme is comprised of taught courses, supervised research, unpaid experiential placements, study visits to the devolved legislatures and a topical guest lecture series as well as an extensive orientation programme and a cultural and social activities programme. 

This positon represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to make their mark in study abroad. The post will be based at the Hansard Society’s office at the heart of the City of London but will require occasional travel, particularly to Edinburgh and Cardiff.
