Are you an enthusiastic professional with skills in relationship management, opportunity development and income generation and would like to work with commercial, governmental and charitable organisations in the Defence, Security and Conflict sectors In the UK or overseas?

We are investing in our Directorate of Innovation, Impact and Business to drive forward our already strong relationships with organisations and businesses; grow our potential for significant impact; and galvanise regional innovation. You will operate within a broader team servicing different thematic areas and will support a significant and already successful portfolio of research and education initiatives supported by the Defence, Security and Conflict subtheme.

We need a proactive team member to support the University of Exeter's work to identify and grow partnerships within Defence, Security and Conflict, working with organisations such as MOD, UK and international governments, the defence & security industry and NGO's to help answer the global challenge of an increasingly complex security and conflict environment.

You will work with University teams to make sure that our world leading research and education engages effectively with partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on a portfolio of income opportunities, working with academics to submit bids and proposals.
  • Support University of Exeter corporate relationships in the Defence sector.
  • Act as an expert to facilitate commercial contracting with defence, security and conflict companies.
  • Build and consolidate relationships with a number of new defence, security and conflict partners.
