The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (HSS) is central to this vision, working closely with practice partners to prepare and develop health care and social work professionals to provide high quality care.  The Department of Nursing and Clinical Sciences is situated at Lansdowne Campus, in central Bournemouth and close to its beautiful beaches and amenities. 

We are seeking a Lecturer who is committed to excellence in healthcare, teaching and research.  You will be based in the Department Nursing and Clinical Sciences and primarily within the Mental Health Nursing team.  You should have Nursing and Midwifery Registration as a Mental Health Nurse.  Alongside the professional qualification, you should be able to demonstrate experience of working within a mental health service or with mental health service users. 

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within Bournemouth University and with external partners in developing an excellent student experience and research outputs relevant to Nursing. The Department is committed to supporting and developing its staff in order to pursue high quality research, teaching and practice.

You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment.  You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
