The Centre for Biostatistics is seeking to appoint a Research Associate to join its Biostatistics Collaboration Unit (BCU). You will contribute through the Unit to the delivery of biostatistics input to high quality collaborative research across the Faculty. The Unit focuses on providing part-time or short-term statistical input to grant-funded research projects. The Unit has close links to statisticians within the NIHR Research Design Service and the Manchester Clinical Trials Unit. Due to the ongoing success of the BCU we are looking to expand our activity and recruit to this additional post.
You will hold a PhD or equivalent research experience in biostatistics, or a closely related subject area. You will have experience of applying statistics and a broad knowledge of modern statistical methods. Experience of collaborative research with non-statisticians would be an advantage.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
