Detail information about job Trials Assistant. Terms and conditions vacancy

The Cancer Research UK and UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) is part of the Cancer Institute at University College London, based on Tottenham Court Road. The CTC co-ordinates a large number of multi-centre national and international clinical trials in cancer, in a variety of tumour sites. The postholder will be part of a team working on phase I, II and III trials and will have general clerical duties and will assist with basic data entry within the group. The main purpose of the post is to support the trial team in all administrative tasks and be a key point of contact for hospitals participating in our trials. The post holder will also assist in developing standard practices within the CTC and in problem-solving.

The post is funded for one year in the first instance.

The postholder will have good clerical/administrative work experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), accurate typing skills, a pleasant telephone manner, clear message taking skills and the ability to cope under pressure are essential. Previous experience of working in a hospital/medical/academic environment would be advantageous.
