Detail information about job Research associate: quantum annealing for optimised planning and scheduling. Terms and conditions vacancy

We seek to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to work on the development and benchmarking of novel methods for optimised planning and scheduling using an experimental quantum annealer. The work at UCL is part of a multi-group collaboration between academia and industry and is funded jointly by EPSRC and Innovate UK. UCL’s partners in the project are BT, D-Wave Systems, Plantagenet Systems and the University of Bristol.

The project is initially funded for one year.

Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or physics or mathematics or any relevant branch of engineering; and experience of using heuristic and/or numerical methods for solving computational problems.
