The Registry is seeking to appoint a Senior Assistant Registrar (Quality Assurance and Enhancement). The post-holder will be play a crucial role in the Registry’s Quality Assurance Team, which is responsible for ensuring the academic quality and standards of the College’s educational provision in order to maintain the College's reputation of a strong academic standing.

The Senior Assistant Registrar will provide leadership for the development of the College frameworks for quality assurance and the academic regulations, which are currently under review, including the procedures for collaborative provision. The post holder will be confident to provide definitive advice to colleagues across the College in response to routine and complex enquiries on the application of the quality assurance framework and the academic regulations. The post holder will keep abreast of national and international changes to educational policy and be able to identify the impact of change for the College’s quality assurance framework.

The post holder will line manage three Assistant Registrars and the Surveys Officer, and will be expected to contribute to Registry-wide initiatives and projects. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for the post holder to work closely with Registry colleagues, academic departments and other areas of the Central Services.

Candidates will have experience of working in a UK Higher Education Institution and a deep understanding of quality assurance and enhancement policy, processes and procedures. Effective management skills and excellent written and oral communication skills, are essential. Candidates should be experienced in College-level committee servicing and be able to successfully manage and lead projects to meet deadlines and targets. Previous administrative experience working in a complex organisation at a similar level is also essential.

The College cannot normally apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this post under Tier 2 of the UKVI’s Points Based System. Any candidate, who is considering applying for this position and requires sponsorship, must ensure that they are able to obtain permission to work in the UK through an appropriate immigration route.
