Location: Jubilee Campus

In support of our new Research Vision we are seeking to further develop our Corporate Partnerships Team and are seeking a high quality business development professional to drive our efforts to attract support industry engagement in our Green Chemicals and Industrial Biotechnology. The Corporate Partnerships Team, part of the central Research and Innovation department, is responsible for developing relationships with, and generating income for the university in partnership with key industrial partners.

The successful candidate will lead the University’s industry engagement in this sector, working closely with colleagues in related academic schools and professional services departments as well as the new Green Chemicals Beacon of Excellence, The appointees will develop and nurture a network of senior level contacts with key industrial partners and funding bodies to promote the university’s services to them and identify prospective business engagement and income generating opportunities.

Candidates for the role must hold an Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Demonstrable business acumen, and experience of partnership and customer focused work is essential. A strong understanding of the sector, as well as an understanding of the higher education environment and R&D funding are desirable. The successful candidates must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
