We are seeking to recruit a Tenure-Track Research Fellow in Communications Networks who will be based in the Advanced Networks Research Group (ANRG). ANRG sits within the Networks and Communications Thematic area, and is focused on the analysis and design of next generation network architectures, cyber security protocols, communications devices and future network traffic. The Group’s research is focused on both high-speed fixed and wireless networks, and involves network modelling and analysis, and hardware and software design aspects of communications networks.
The fellowship runs for 5 years, at the end of year 3 you will be reviewed for confirmation in a permanent academic appointment. The first year of the fellowship will focus on establishing your research programme, with a limited amount of teaching. Teaching and administration will increase over the 5 year period to that of a normal academic load.
You should be an early career researcher with a PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline, be able to demonstrate your research quality and potential to become a world-class researcher/international leader.
