We are seeking an Ogden Physics Fellow to join the School of Mathematics and Physics. Candidates are required to have an honours degree in Physics. A PhD in Physics or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

The post would suit those who are interested in a transition to school teaching or outreach. Others with teaching experience, who have themselves run student events may also be interested. A strong interest and some experience in outreach would be essential.

The Ogden Physics Fellow must be fluent in problem solving themselves and in presenting them to students, whether in masterclass in the host department, or it student events for groups of schools around the local area. Interested applicants should look at the wide range of problems available on isaacphysics.org (at least up to level 5) to decide whether this style is for them. With support from the Isaac Physics Project, the Ogden Physics Fellow will deliver events to students attending target Schools in the local area.

The post is based within the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Lincoln but there will be a requirement to travel to different locations for meetings and events. The Physics Fellow will also need to be willing to work outside normal office hours, such as evenings and weekends. This post is fixed term for one year.
