Detail information about job Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security. Terms and conditions vacancy

As part of an extensive and ongoing investment programme in Cyber Security, the School of Computing & Communications wishes to make a number of strategic appointments. These appointments will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and future direction of Security Lancaster, the University’s cross-disciplinary research institute in Cyber Security.

Security Lancaster is one of the four flagship Lancaster Research Institutes and is amongst the current 14 Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research recognised by the UK government. It is one of the few multi-disciplinary centres to tackle human as well as technological challenges to cyber security by integrating computing and communications researchers with expertise from social and behavioural sciences.

We encourage applications from strong and collegiate individuals that complement existing areas of expertise including but not limited to security and resilience of communications networks, industrial control systems (ICS) and Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics to study security and privacy issues, analysis of human behaviours in the context of security, security and privacy for digital health.

We invite applications from candidates with appropriate specialist cyber-security domain knowledge from academia, government or industry. You should have an international reputation for research in their field with impact commensurate to the stage of their career. We expect all candidates to be committed educators and to contribute to the development of our portfolio of courses, including our international partnerships.

The Senior Lectureship in Cyber Security is a full-time permanent appointment. You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, an excellent publication record and a desire to be a research leader and provide high quality teaching. Evidence of the ability to attract external grant income to support your research is essential.

The School strongly believes in creating an open and collaborative environment that is both highly inclusive and stimulating for career development. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis. Learn more about equality, diversity and inclusivity at Lancaster. We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
