Detail information about job Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow in Synthesis of Sustainable Chiral Self-assembling Materials (fixed-term). Terms and conditions vacancy

This is a highly interdisciplinary post focussed upon the synthesis of new chiral materials for the formation of monolayers and thin films based on them. The project will be directed by Professor David B. Amabilino.      

Candidates should have an honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry and have submitted a relevant doctorate (PhD thesis) or about to submit. In addition, candidates should have proven ability in innovative and effective experimental research in the area of synthetic organic chemistry of chiral molecules, particularly green and sustainable should be applied. Full knowledge of the characterisation of the materials is required and candidates should preferably know how to study their self-assembly. Good communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with senior and junior colleagues, and the ability to interact closely with external collaborators are essential.

This post is available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.
