Wintec KSA is a New Zealand company that operates a cluster of male and female COE colleges in the Tabuk region.

We have created several new roles, including Head of Foundation Studies, Head of Vocational Studies and Head of Quality. Reporting to the Chief Executive, these three positions provide functional leadership across the three colleges.

The Head of Foundation Studies is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation Curriculum (English, Maths, IT, Work Skills) to meet KSA National Occupation Skills Standards (NOSS) and external assessment criteria.

This includes:

  • managing and evaluating the Foundation Year schemes of work and lesson plans to ensure effective planning, preparation, teaching and efficacy
  • reviewing and evaluating teaching resources and approaches to improve student success.
  • managing and coordinating assessment activity, including initial and placement assessment.
  • developing manage extra curriculum activity, community learning courses and short courses.

A key part of this role is building positive and productive relationships with the Deans, Lead Teachers (Foundation), the male and female foundation teaching teams are working very closely with the Head of Vocational Studies to ensure the integration of technical English and we continue to improve student outcomes and college success.  

We are interested in hearing from people with:

  • a Master’s Degree in Education is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or similar relevant degree
  • recognised professional teaching qualification and a qualification in TESOL
  • ideally five years of professional teaching experience, preferably TESOL experience
  • proven record in curriculum development and design methodology focussed on improving student outcomes and meeting external assessment criteria
  • experience leading, coaching and mentoring teachers or with second language learners
  • skilled in the use of teaching and learning methodologies to enhance student progression and attainment
  • IELTS 7.5 or Native English speaker
  • preferably Middle East experience.

You will have demonstrated experience of creating a quality culture and engaging a wide range of roles and cultures.  You will need to be persuasive, resilient, a team player and be able to set a clear direction to achieve clear outcomes.
