An opportunity has arisen for a Systems Developer to join the University, working within the Information Systems & Technology Directorate.

The successful candidate will carry out system analysis, design, programming and configuration tasks to ensure the successful delivery of the University’s Information systems that meet business and end user requirements. You will also be required to support the technical infrastructure for development, test and production environments including monitoring the performance of deployed solutions. Ideally educated to degree level, you will have experience of designing, configuring, developing, programming, testing and documenting information systems using a range of development technologies. Knowledge and experience of working with end users to analyse and develop their requirements for information system changes, including the production of prototype models is essential.

Experience of developing and programming high quality technical solutions using programming languages and technologies such as C#.net, VB.net, ASP.net, Java, Perl, XML/XSL, JavaScript, MS SQL and Oracle SQL is highly desirable. Experience in supporting relational databases (e.g. Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) is required. Knowledge and experience of developing, programming and testing technical solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is also very desirable.
