An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and multi-skilled Research Awards Development Officer to join our busy pre-award team. You will be working closely with academic and research staff from across the University, helping develop and submit high quality research proposals to a wide variety of funders including UK Research Councils, research charities and the EU, and creating a supportive research environment.
You will be based in the Central Research Support section of Research, Enterprise and Innovation (REI), working with staff at all career stages, identifying appropriate research funding opportunities, matching opportunities to academic expertise, assisting with bid development including budgeting and ensuring proposals meet funder guidelines and internal approval processes.
To succeed you will need to be an excellent communicator with an eye for detail and accuracy, experience of developing research bids and to show a willingness to turn your hand to any task with a "can do" attitude.
