The successful candidate will work within a research team to address the challenge of evaluating and improving the housed environment for British dairy cattle. Research will be conducted in a novel facility being constructed with funding from Innovate UK as a part of the ‘Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock’, a £6M dairy redevelopment at Nottingham. The project aims to evaluate how changes to the housed environment affects cow health and wellbeing including physiological and behavioural outcomes. The main duty of this post will be to work within the extended research team to collate, process and analyse data and play a role in the organisation of research. The role will also include animal handling, sample collection and may include work on other related projects being conducted by Dairy Herd Health Group.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of handling medium to large sized datasets and of statistical modelling.
