FTE: Part time position working 14.8 hours per week (0.4 fte)

As the UK’s largest provider of Learning Disability nursing in pre and post graduate education, this is an exciting time to join our team. We offer a wide choice of programs and training and we are expanding our provision and seeking to appoint a full time member of staff to join our nursing team. The teaching focus for this post is primarily within our pre-registration nursing programme, but with an expectation of involvement of our new MSc programme and CPD portfolio currently focussing on Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Advanced clinical practice in health monitoring, the assessment of mental health needs, managing offending behaviours and Epilepsy amongst others.

The candidate appointed will principally be based in our Hatfield main campus. There is however, an expectation to travel to the the other study centres in Reading and Southampton. Staff will be encouraged to undertake and be involved in any research activities within the School as appropriate.

The successful applicant will be an experienced learning disability nurse, with a current NMC registration and experience of teaching, preferably a Master’s degree in a relevant subject and an NMC recorded teaching qualification. In addition the applicant will have good interpersonal skills, including negotiation, facilitation and interviewing abilities.
