The School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research (SSPSSR) are seeking to appoint a number of new Hourly Paid Assistant Lecturers. This post will carry out teaching and assessment in Criminology. Central to the role will be the provision of seminars, mainly related to the stage one syllabus. There may be an opportunity to provide lectures.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate expertise in Criminology, along with lecturing or teaching experience, ideally in higher education.

Candidates must be committed to providing a high quality of student experience, and must have good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

The hourly paid lecturer rate of includes time for preparation and marking, and staff are only paid per hour of teaching contact time with students. Appropriate induction and resources are also provided.
