The UK Recruitment Team plays a significant role in delivering the Sheffield Hallam Universities student recruitment strategy by providing aspiration and awareness raising events, activities and initiatives which support the institutions recruitment objectives. This includes organising the delivery of institutional recruitment events and activities; establishing and building effective relationships and delivering engagement activity to potential applicants at feeder Schools and Colleges; and supporting the institutions commitment to delivering against Widening Participation agendas.
In each of the three roles, you will be working as part of a dedicated team of School and College Engagement Co-ordinators, responsible for establishing and developing mutually beneficial relationships with feeder school, colleges and/or partner organisations - both within the Sheffield City Region and within wider allocated geographic regions. You will be required to develop and deliver exciting and innovative engagement activities that meet the needs of local schools, colleges and partner organisations whilst supporting the Universities recruitment objectives.
You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the higher education sector, and share a commitment to raising the aspirations, awareness and highlighting the opportunities available at university to potential applicants and to key influencers. You will possess excellent communication skills and are confident speaking to potentially large groups of pre-university students; and are equally comfortable liaising with staff from schools, colleges and partner organisations.
You will also be able and are willing to work occasional evenings and are able to independently travel around the country as required. NB: applicants will be provided hire cars to fulfill the requirements of the role which will require occasionally driving at night and on motorways.
