Audio Visual Technician

  • 22 hours per week
  • 37 weeks per year (Term time only)

  • Actual Salary: £9,042.95 - £10,128.23

Leeds College of Music are looking to appoint an Audio Visual Technician to produce audio-visual material, plus maintain and support our online and lecture theatre audio-visual systems.

Reporting to the Senior Audio Visual Technician the post holder will be recording, filming, mixing and editing lectures, events and promotional material, plus you will be required to install, support and maintain audio-visual and lecture capture equipment. You may be required to deliver a level of relevant training to staff and students in the use of audio-visual software and equipment, and be involved in projects with academic, marketing, elearning, IT and VLE teams.

Applicants will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent), preferably in Music Technology, TV/Film Production or a digital media related subject. The successful candidate will be comfortable with a range of audio-visual software such Final Cut, Adobe Premier, Panopto and Adobe Connect. You will have understanding and experience with a range of audio-visual equipment including microphones, video cameras, audio and vision mixers. You will be expected to interact with a range of people from students to staff and external visitors so excellent communication and a strong customer service ethos is essential.
