Detail information about job Postdoctoral Research Fellow - FAC0098-2. Terms and conditions vacancy

2 year fixed term contract - starting as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for an exciting opportunity to carry out research funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council of the UK. The research project is in collaboration with two other UK universities and four industrial partners.

The post holder will carry out experiments/analysis of flow boiling of pure fluids and mixtures in single and multichannel metallic micro heat exchangers. The fundamental research will lead, with the support of our partners, to the design of an integrated thermal management system capable of transferring significantly high heat flux rates.

The successful applicant should have a PhD and relevant experience in heat transfer and fluid flow. Experience in flow boiling will be considered an additional advantage.

The post is for a period of two years. The research fellow will join an established research team of six PhD students and one Postdoctoral Research Fellow working in this area and will be supported by technical staff.
