Detail information about job Research Fellow in Education. Terms and conditions vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding and ambitious individual in the field of higher education research. We are seeking a full-time researcher who will be responsible for project management of a research programme funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
The research project is titled ‘Maximising student success through the development of self-regulation’ and is led by Dr Naomi Winstone. The project will involve working closely with colleagues at the University of Surrey to support the scaling up of a self-regulatory approach to assessment and feedback. It will also involve working closely with project managers and lead researchers at the University of Southampton and Kingston University as project partners.
You will have PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in higher education. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Project, including finances, and will ideally have experience of managing/contributing to research projects within higher education settings. You will be experienced and familiar with participant recruitment and the collection, management and analysis of data. You will also be responsible for informing and advising the Principal Investigator, Dr Naomi Winstone, of emerging issues for follow-up as part of on-going risk assessment, and disseminating key findings to strategic bodies.
You will have experience in project management, knowledge and understanding of quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Knowledge of research-informed pedagogical practice in higher education, and meta-analytic methods, would be advantageous.
The position is available from 1st September 2017.
