Detail information about job Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer. Terms and conditions vacancy
The Schools & Colleges Liaison Service (SCLS) sits within the Student Recruitment Directorate, which has institution-wide responsibility for undergraduate recruitment and outreach in the UK. SCLS works to build and nurture strong partnerships with schools, colleges, and other agencies. It offers information, advice, and guidance about higher education to young people and their parents, gives presentations to a variety of audiences in schools and colleges, and represents and promotes the University of Hull to prospective students at recruitment events nationally.
In an increasingly competitive market, the University is seeking to employ an officer who will help to develop and deliver existing activities, identify new opportunities to extend recruitment and widening participation initiatives, and who will be able to lead on agreed activities and projects. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly motivated team dedicated to meeting the needs of young people, parents/carers, and teachers, and developing lasting relationships. We are looking for someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, who is keen to take on new challenges and who can deliver outstanding customer service.
You must have a degree or equivalent qualification, substantial experience of working in schools and/or with young people, and an appreciation of current issues within higher education. Experience of project/event management and/or data analysis is desirable, together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to cover a wide range of administrative tasks. You must have access to independent means of transport and be prepared to be flexible as the role will involve travel throughout the UK, time away from home, and working evenings and weekends when required.
This post requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Interviews are expected to be held in week commencing 25th September.
If you would like to discuss this role informally, please contact Paul Wood, Schools & Colleges Liaison Officer (t: 01482 465103 or e: [email protected]).
