The South London Clinical Research Network (SL CRN), as part of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the role of JDR/PPIE Senior Project Officer. Reporting to the SL CRN Patient Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lead the post-holder will work as a Senior Project Officer to meet objectives against the following national CRN initiatives: PPIE and Join Dementia Research (JDR).

The post-holder will be required to work flexibly across South London to deliver on JDR and PPIE national and local objectives – this will include road-shows, focus groups and engagement events, as well as attending national meetings on JDR and PPIE. You will work closely with local community groups, partner organisation R&D departments and relevant national CRN managers.

You will have considerable knowledge of the Government and NIHR strategies for Dementia Research and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement, as well as demonstrable project planning and project management skills, including organisations of meetings and road-shows. In addition you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to achieve targets.

Working as part of the Flexible Workforce team you will be required to work independently across the South London network, on occasions with minimal support, be self-motivated and to organise your own diary and be proficient in MS Office and clinic-based IT systems.
