Detail information about job Drawing Coordinator/CAD Technician. Terms and conditions vacancy

This flexible part-time post (0.8 FTE) is available immediately on a permanent basis.

This new post within Estate Services provides an opportunity to make a significant impact to the efficiency of the team. The post holder will be responsible for the curation and development of drawn information held on our Built Estate to ensure a robust, consistent and up-to-date information set.

The role will involve working closely with the Space Manager and coordinating with the wider team of surveyors and project managers to add drawings to the CAFM system to improve the reporting and analysis of the information relating to our physical space. It will also require undertaking small measured surveys of buildings to establish record drawing accuracy and update drawings to reflect changes.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate their proficiency in CAD software and their understanding of information management processes. They will be required to be systematic and organised with a rigorous approach. They will be a self-motivated individual who is able to organise and prioritise their own workload.

The post holder will be supported to undertake continuous professional development, keep abreast of changes to CAD systems and provide advice to other CAD users. This could include exploring the future role of BIM at the University and how it could be used to improve our information management. As the role becomes established, the post holder will be asked to identify opportunities to develop the service to ensure the needs of all stakeholders across the University are addressed.

Based on Streatham Campus, this role will be adaptable to a candidate requiring flexibility in location and pattern of work (although arrangements must be agreed in advance).

The University offers some fantastic benefits including 39 days leave per year, options for flexible working, numerous discounts at leading retailers, an onsite gym, yoga and pilates, a cycle to work scheme and a stunning campus environment in the heart of Exeter.
